STEP 1 - PREPARE DAMAGED AREA(S): 1. Put on gloves, safety
glasses. 2. Brush out the area to be repaired, removing any loose debris. Using
a shop-vac, broom or blower, thoroughly clean the area to be repaired. • Be
sure that area is clean and dry prior to and following the repair.
STEP 2 - COMBINE STONE AND EPOXY: 1. For large repairs using
the entire kit, pour epoxy part B directly into the epoxy part A. For smaller repairs
not using the entire kit the following rules apply (if not applicable skip to
item 2): • Mix a ratio of 2 parts epoxy A to 1 part epoxy B (IE. 2 cups part A
to 1 cup part B) in a separate container that must be discarded. • Pour epoxy
part B into epoxy part A. Do not pour epoxy part A into epoxy part B. • You
will need to mix enough epoxy to both saturate the amount of stone that you
will use, to make the repair, and to lightly and evenly spread the mixed epoxy
onto the area of your floor that needs repaired. 2. Mix the epoxy thoroughly
with the mixing stick until small air bubbles form and the color is uniform
throughout. • After mixing, you will have approximately 15 minutes to complete
the repair. 3. Place the amount of stone necessary to make the repair into a
bucket. • For small hairline cracks you will need to use crushed stone. Place
the desired amount of dry stone into a sealable plastic bag and pound with a
hammer to crush the stone. 4. Brush a small amount of epoxy evenly into the
area to be repaired. 5. Pour the remaining epoxy into the stone and mix
thoroughly until all stones are saturated evenly with the epoxy mix. I
recommend making a small amount at a time.
STEP 3 - REPAIR DAMAGED AREA(S): 1. Using the trowel or
putty knife, fill in the area being repaired with the stone and epoxy mix. 2.
Even, flatten, and smooth the stone with the flat bottom of the trowel blade or
putty knife. • If the trowel begins to feel “gummy” and difficult to work with.
Then wipe off and clean the trowel with a small amount of mineral spirits,
paint thinner or acetone. 3. Repeat the process as needed
STEP 4 - LET DRY 1. Let dry for a minimum of 24 hours and
until the repair is no longer tacky. Turn off sprinkler systems that may affect
the application area for 24 hours. Keep vehicles off area for 7 days. 2. Let
any unused stone and epoxy harden in the bucket for 24 hours and dispose of the
bucket and its contents in your trash receptacle.at Guide
